Ok I was going to have a nice and long blog post about my birthday. But considering that now is already technically 1st April...
HAPPY APRIL FOOL'S DAY!!!
Lol.
Yeah back to talking about my birthday. It was great! Definitely one of the better birthdays in my life, especially in the post-Mom era. I can't remember being so gleeful about my birthday since...forever? Haha.
Ok here's the birthday present list...so far. XP Only from Grace and Lester...oh and technically Atalia too. Thanks you guys! ^___^
1) A stuffed toy pig, all nice and round and fat. From Lester. ^__^
2) A nice huggable teddy bear with the words With Love on its left foot. From Grace. :)
3) CHOMPS!!! Otherwise known as the green lizard/dinosaur/curry puff/char siew stuffed animal thing. Hehe. From Grace, who insists that he looks like char siew. Chomps is NOT CHAR SIEW. Char siew where got green color one? Unless its moldy....eeeew.
4) $10 Kinokuniya book voucher, from Lester and Atalia. Yay! XD
5) A poster with the words 'I love you just the way you are' and lots of random baby photos. From Lester and Atalia. :) That's just so sweet.
6) A doorknob sign thing that says Online/Offline. From Grace. Its so me lah. ^__^
7) And the best part.......BOA PHOTOS!!!!!! Gracie got the best few printed out!!! Almost fell out of my chair when I first saw it. Love you lah Gracie! XD
Yeah love the presents. Oh and we went out for steamboat. Haha. So funny lah. I swear the hotplate has something against me. It just kept spurting hot oil at me when I'm trying to cook the meat. One even hit my eyelid, and another one seared my eyebrow. Not to mention the numerous shots at my right hand. Evil hotplate.
And that's not all. Funniest person is Lester. He paid $12 only to go there and eat a plate of rice and lots of mantou. Whatever lah. And then when he put the crabsticks into the steamboat, he forgot to take the plastic off. So later when the thing started boiling, we started seeing plastic wrappers floating around in the soup...
Needless to say, we pretty much abandoned the soup after that. Grace even has photo evidence of the presence of the plastic wrappers in the soup. Like whatever lah. Haha.
Ya then after that, we went to Marina Square to eat ice cream and cake at Secret Recipe. Hehe. We were all outraged that they were charging 50 cents for water. Damn cheapskate lah. Horrible people.
Oh! Almost forgot something that happened along the way. We were at Marina Bay station, and I was playing with Chomps. That was also when Grace started insisting that poor old Chomps looked like char siew when you dangled him by his tail, and tried to eat him. Lester was the one who said that Chomps looked like curry puff, largely because of the ridges along his spine which kinda looks like curry puff if you use a bit of your imagination (since curry puffs are generally not green :P).
Ok back to the topic. We were waiting for the train, and Grace had taken hold of Chomps. She was like, 'hmm, maybe Chomps would like to take a slide', and proceeded to let Chomps slide a short distance on the slanting ledge next to the escalator. He didn't slide very well because there wasn't enough space to pick up momentum. So I jokingly suggested that she should take him up to the second story at the head of the escalator and sldie him down from the top of the slanted ledge.
She actually took me seriously and ran up with Chomps, then booted my poor lizard down the slope.
Chomps slid down quite quickly, and he even managed to stay on a nice straight path for half the journey. Then somewhere around the middle part, he went off course and started tumbling head over heels and careened off the ledge onto the side near the escalator before bouncing/rolling the rest of the way down. I caught him at the end. Haha.
Then I turned him around and found that he had black stains on his underbelly. MRT people never clean the ledge!!!! Horrible people!!! Haha.
But at least it was relatively easy to get the stains off. :)
Nothing much to talk about already. It was fun hanging out with Grace and Lester. They really made my day. :) Thanks guys!! Love the two of you. :)
Haha. It's late. I'm a bit tired now. Should go to sleep...but Kanai's not on. :( I wanted to talk to her before I went to bed. :( Oh well. I can always find her tomorrow....possibly. :) She can always tag here if nothing else. XD
Night everyone!
