Watching Mai-HiME, and I just wub Shizuru. Lol.
For some weird reason, she reminds me of Michiru somehow. When she's all seitokai kaichou and drinking tea, and then she will be all refined and elegant...and when she goes "Ara", it just so reminds me of BSSM's Michiru.
And then we get to see her all crazy cold killer machine-ish later in the series. I mean, her Child is cool...only Kagutsuchi's cooler and that's because he's a (sort of) dragon. Hers is a hydra, and that rocks too. Even though its purple...as many people know, I have a peculiar grudge against the color purple. It might have something to do with my years at Queensway. Lol.
Of course, it does help that she's in love with Natsuki. *cough* Why am I always attracted to the lesbians in anime? I wonder if its just me lol. I mean, there was that strange hero-worship with BSSM's Haruka, that fangirl enthusiasm with SKU's Juri, and now an odd fascination with Shizuru. I have shoujo-ai in the brain. God save me.
It probably doesn't help that well, Shizuru looks hot. Well Natsuki does too. Hehe. They got to kiss! Well...sorta. There was that thank-you kiss that Natsuki gave Shizuru (I think, it gets taken way out of context all the time...but still...), the one that Shizuru stole when Natsuki was unconscious....*sweatdrop* And I don't think I want to mention a certain incident...nvm...
Midori reminds me of Evangelion's Misato for some reason, and her sister reminds me of Ritsuko from NGE too. Lol. Not to mention that the sister also drives like Misato...that is, recklessly. Heh. And I think Mikoto is cute...especially when she goes all neko-ish and charging around madly when coming into contact with spicy foods. Some people like to think that Mikoto could possibly be paired with Mai, and I see where they're coming from, but I think Mai seems to have a greater possibility with Yuuichi...and then there's her little brother Takumi who has an extreme sister complex. Not quite as bad as KG's Tweedledum for Tweedledee, but it's still there. Lol.
The anime's opening seems to be growing on me. I didn't like it the first time I heard it, but it seems less annoying now that I've heard it a few more times.
I still haven't finished the series, but so far I still love Shizuru best, followed by Natsuki and Mai. There might be more, but I'll wait til then.
